Study on formulation ability of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from To Lich river water

To Lich river in Ha Noi city is well-known for its pollution with BOD, COD higher several times than permissible standard. In the anaerobic condition, organic matter with sulfur is reduced to hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and discharged into the air. The study result show, air quality of 200 meters in distance along the wind direction from the To Lich river water was estimated of equivalent 1,702.3 tons SO2 per year (about 2.14% of industrial source of Hanoi city), but calculated per area, it's big contribution of Hanoi air pollution, 3,602.8 tons SO2 year-1 per km2 to compared to 81.38 tons SO2-year-1 per km2 of Hanoi industrial source. So, it's very necessary to have measures to reduce this air pollution source from To Lich river.
