The effect of three types of auxins added to full and half strength ¬®S medium /Murashige and Skoog, 1962/ on the rooting of the multiplied plants of P. elongata was studied. alpha-Naphtalene acetic acid /NAA/, Indoleacetic acid /IAA/ and Indole-3-butyric acid /IBA/ in concentrations 0.5 and 1.0 mg/l were used to form roots. The highest percentage of rooting /100%/ and maximum number of roots per plant /5.2/ was recorded on Ёц ¬®S medium supplemented with IBA /0.5 mg/l/. Rooted plants were acclimatized successfully to ex vitro conditions. Among the three substrates tested, the highest survival percentage /100%/ showed the plants grown on a mixture of peat: perlite in a 2: 1 ratio. Plants were transferred in greenhouse. They were characterized by rapid growth and development.
