In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented results of a field experiment on cost efficiency of growing of early-maturing flax (Linum usitatissimum) variety of Levit 1 and late-ripening variety Tabor. In course of the study it was marked in the conditions of loamy soil with 1,70-1,75% of humus content the optimal dose of nitrogen fertilizer was 15 kg/ha of active substance with the plant stand density at harvesting date 1540-1560 stalks per square meter. Research results showed that in the conditions of flax sowing after cereal crops on medium-textured loam soil with average soil supply with nutritive elements the Tabor variety showed higher fiber yield in comparison with Levit 1 variety. But the fiber quality of Tabor variety was lower that the quality of the Levit 1. Due to higher fiber quality from one hectare of Levit 1 variety there was obtained profit which was on 130 USD higher than from Tabor variety.
