In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was presented an analysis of the present-day conditions and dynamics of the pine forest formation in the hornbeam-oak-dark coniferous forest region within 1978–2008. Changes in the age, completeness and composition of the forest stand, as well as in the forest capacity are described. The analysis results suggest that the area covered by pine forest increased, but its proportion in the whole forested area of the studied region decreased. The forest stand is unevenly distributed in age classes. The average forest stand quality class and completeness have not essentially changed.
