In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus in course of the research there was studied pendimethalin content and behaviour in crops and soil after pendimethalin-containing preparation application for annual grass and dicotyledonous weed control. Pendimethalin – 2.6 dinitro-N-(1- Ethylpropyl)- 3.4 xylidine is a yellow crystalline matter with a melting point at 56-57 degrees on Celsius, is poorly soluble in water at 20 degrees on Celsius - 0.3 mg / L, soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons and their halogen derivatives, resistant to acids and alkalis. Now it produced in the form of different formulations, depending on the producers' (Stomp 33% of active substances, the drug mixtures Marathon 375 g/l, Ehstamp, etc.). As a result of researches it was determined that at observance of recommended time of application, norms and treatments number the active ingredient pendimethalin did not pollute agricultural production. In soil pendimethalin saved during all period of vegetation and the screen, which created on soil surface provided cleanliness of landings concerning annual dicotyledonous and cereal weeds. Migration possibility of pendimethalin on a soil profile was revealed, however in layers below arable horizon it was found out in quantities of less maximum concentration limit.
