In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus it was suggested to count the number of combines in conventional units. Objective counting was possible on the basis of special multiple research into the determination of per hour productivity of each model of combine in accepted standard conditions, which would take into account the concrete mass grain crop, the density of stalks placement, average productivity, the optimal size of harvested plot, its relief, the angle of slope, the density and humidity of soil, the speed of combine movement and so on. For counting of material combines of different modifications into conventional units, it was suggested to use temporary (transitional) coefficients, where the initial basis would be the average daily productivity of each combine model according to the results of their work in harvest season. Compact regional concentration of certain models of national and foreign machines had organizational and technical advantages. It made it possible operatively and with fewer expenses to solve the problems of spare parts provision and repair works and improve the qualification of mechanization staff. At the same time, each region has combines of different models, which allows continuing the comparative estimation of reliability and productivity of machines in concrete production conditions.
