In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus at small-plot and production experiments there was presented data on biological and economic efficiency of the herbicide granate, WDG (tribenuron-methyl, 750 g/kg) in spring barley (Hordeum vulgare) crops. The herbicide was developed for the control of annual weeds (including those ones which were resistant to herbicides of 2,4-D and 2M-4X groups) and some perennial dicotyledonous weeds (field sow thistle (Sonchus arvensis), creeping thistle (Cirsium arvense)). The herbicide was applied by growing weeds at the rate of 15-20 g/ha from 2-3 leaves stage of the crop before flag-leaf formation stage against such dicotyledonous weeds as black bindweed (Polygonum convolvulus), green smartweed (Polygonum scabrum), field pansy (Viola arvensis), corn mayweed (Matricaria inodora), hemp-nettle (Galeopsis tetrahit), winterweed (Stellaria media), wild radish (Raphanus raphanistrum) , self-seeding rape (Brassica napus), cleavers (Gallum aparine), etc. When Sonchus arvensis and Cirsium arvense were presented in crops the most rational way was to apply granate, WDG at the rate of 20-25 g/ha at crop tillering stage and rosette weed stage. After application of the herbicide the weediness of barley with dicotyledonous weeds lowrred on 66,0-97,4% by quality indexes and on 91,1-99,6% by the vegetative mass indexes.
