In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were considered the basic directions of energy saving in illumination and technological irradiation in agricultural production, including application of effective light sources and starting-regulating equipment, light-emitting diode irradiators, systems of automated management by illumination and light climate. Research results showed that in lighting systems of agricultural technological premises it was necessary to realize phase-by-phase substitution of traditional light sources by more efficient ones: incandescent lamps - by luminous tube lamps or compact fluorescent lamps; mercury arc lamps – by high-pressure sodium lamps or metal halide tube light sources. This will provide lowering of energy consumption from 30 up to 80%. It was economically efficient to apply light-emitting-diode lamps for animal irradiation. It was concluded that systems of lightning management should be developed taking into consideration peculiar features of a concrete object, that will provide up to 50% additional economy of energy resources.
