Evaluation of new breeding varieties of blue lupine (Lupinus angustifolius) in the competitive strain testing for yield and elements of its structure, determination of the economic and energy efficiency created by growing varieties was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus on sod-podzolic loamy soil in 2008 – 2010. Arable horizon of 20-22 cm was characterized by the following agrochemical characteristics: pH reaction of the soil medium - 5.8, the content of mobile phosphorus and potassium - in the range 180-220 mg/kg, humus content - 1.6-1.8%. In course of the research there was given a comprehensive evaluation of samples generated for yield and its structure elements. A number of samples with high seed productivity, the profitability of cultivation for seeds of more than 60-100%, and the coefficient of energetic efficiency 2.7-3.4 were selected. Varieties of blue lupine Biser 347 x BSHA 277-61, Biser 347 x Siderat 892, Pershatsvet x BSHA 280-50, Vladlen-18 had an increase of 1.3-7.1 kg/ha in relation to the standard. Varieties OVS-P-1 - OVS-6-P for two years of competitive variety trials more than 1.5 times have exceeded the initial variety and standard on productivity and elements of its structure.
