In course of the research there was studied the state of the market of medicinal plant products as one of the most important objects of the economy of the Republic of Belarus. The dynamics of its development was examined and the crucial points were shown. The development of the pharmaceutical market proved that there was stable interest to medicinal plants as a source of raw materials for the production of efficient and safe drugs, in spite of different periods in Belarusian pharmacy and changes in the economic situation in the country. Dynamics of demographic and social factors; volumes of production and use of medicinal vegetable raw materials in 2007-2009, the leading countries of import of medicinal vegetable raw materials to Belarus in natural expression (kg), the average prices of import of medical products (thousand dollars/t) were presented. Having estimated a modern situation of the market of medicinal vegetable raw materials, it is necessary to draw a conclusion that its modern crisis condition can be changed in immediate prospects. Correctly directed scientific workings out, innovative development of the market will introduce it on a progressive way of development, having provided thus stabilization and increase of efficiency of the national economy.
