In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus in 2007–2008 there was studied the efficiency of application of microbiological preparations for growing of the first tuber reproduction in original potato (Solanum tuberosum) seed breeding. It was found that application of microbiological preparations with complex action helped to significantly increase the productivity of the first tuber generation. The treatment of the root system of test-tube plants with microbiological preparations (depending on the variant) positively influenced the biometric indicators of potato in closed ground. All the examined preparations substantially increased potato productivity, but the most efficient ones were Planriz and preparation of Azospirilla. Preparations of Azospirilla and Planriz accelerated processes of plant growth which gain of height in relation to the control has made 41.2 and 45.1%. All biological products have rendered appreciable action on caulis-forming ability of potato plants. On the average for two years the number of stalks increased at application of preparation Azospirilla on 1.25 stalks/bushes, Planriz - on 1.2 stalks/bushes and Fitoprotektin - on 1 stalk/bush. Under the influence of microbiological preparations the weight of an elevated part of plants increased. Thus, the greatest size of the given indicator has been noted in variants with application of preparation azospirilla and Planriz (46.0 and 47.5% accordingly). The use of these preparations increased the number of mini-tubers of the variety Zhivitsa by 51.7% and 48.2% in comparison with the control variant, and the mass of tubers per plant – by 28.3% and 28.1% respectively.
