In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was substantiated the dependence of maceration processes in flax (Linum usitatissimum) straw on the organic substance formed in different meteorological conditions of growing. Changes in water and temperature conditions of flax plant vegetation led to changes in the atomic composition and chemical composition of technical part of a stem. That determined the specias composition of microflora taking part in straw maceration and also time limits of preparation and qualitative characteristics of flax rotted straw. In course of the study there were analyzed the following data: chemical composition of flax straw depending on meteorological conditions of flax vegetation; morphological composition of flax stalks in years with various meteorological conditions. Research results showed that depending on water and temperature conditions in vegetation period there was formed different chemical composition of flax staw and bast. Changes of content in flax stalks of lignin, cellulose, hemicellulase, pectin and extractive substances proved the formation of different organic matter for microflora activity.
