The market situation for infant food production is described in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. The analysis of infant food production in 2007-2010 is carried out. The foreign trade records of baby food in 2010 are presented and analyzed. Conclusions are drawn and proposals for the achievement of greater producer efficiency are made. In course of the study there was presented statistical analysis of canned infant food production in Belarus, as well as import and export rates of infant food production. The approximate market capacity of infant food was given. Research results proved that the national producers were able to produce sufficient quantities of infant food for the republic. It was proposed for the producing enterprises to pay attention to a problem of determination of standard of usage of infant food; to increase production volumes of infant food in accordance with market requirements; to expand the range of products, meet the consumers' needs and satisfy their requirements.
