One of the most energy-consumptive processes in agriculture of the Republic of Belarus is after-harvesting seed and grain treatment (drying), consuming 30-50% of fuel. Out of 3.3 thousand of grain dryers 1.3 thousand are depreciated ones and use up heightened quantity of fuel. According to this factors development of efficient grain dryers and inclusion of them into the process of grain producing appears an important problem. The conditions for the usage of heat pumps while draining and recycling the worked-out drying aggregate in the convective grain dryers are defined. The technique of calculating the energy and temperature parameters of heat pump performance is suggested, the energy saving parameters are determined. A principal scheme of heat pump utilization for drying and recirculation of waste drying agent in convective grain dryers is shown. Mathematical formulas of water and heat economy calculation are suggested. Specific heat and fuel consumption during grain drying with the help of heat pump is analyzed. Reasonability of heat pump utilization during the process of grain drying is substantiated.
