Despite the use of pigeons (columba livia Domestica) for meat production, ornamentals, sports, and experimental animals, limited information is available on their nutrient requirements and feeding. This could partly be attributed to the rearing of squabs to mature body weight by both of the parents. In this exam 36 adult male and female of homer pigeons performed in CRD design were used in 3 treatments and each , in 6 replications (each replication consisted a couple of birds in single cage) thay were feed by 4 different seeds in 4 feeders. In each of 2 cycles of reproduction , the first treatment reared 2 squabs, the second 3 and the third in first cycle 3 and in the second 2 squabs. The averages of pigeons body weights in first, second and third treatment were 504/67, 517/0 and 510/0 g in males, and 438/67, 428/17 and 436/67 g in females. They had no significant differeances. The average of squabs' weights( in first , second and third treatments) in first and second cycles were 781/67 , 1209/67 , 1034/0 and 829/33 , 1150/17 , 855/67 g. in 30 days old. both of second and third treatments have significant difference with the first (p0,05).
