A field experiment was conducted to evaluate of tape and furrow irrigation systems for two varieties of soybean under different irrigation regimes in two years at Gorgan research station which is located in Golestan province. The experiment was based on split-split plot in the form of completely randomized design and in three replications. Irrigation system in two levels of tape irrigation and furrow irrigation at primary plots, and three irrigation regimes 100,75 and 50 percent of total irrigation requirement at secondary plots and two varieties DPX and SEPIDEH at secondary plots. Generally most of parameters, except height and thousand weight grains (gr) did not influenced by different irrigation systems treatments. Height of plant and thousand weight grains (gr) were the highest under furrow irrigation. Significant differences were observed between interaction of irrigation system and varieties. The highest and the lowest thousand weight grains (gr) and grain yield (gr) were due to furrow irrigation and DPX variety and furrow irrigation and SEPIDEH variety receptivity. There were significant differences between verities for most parameters. Significant difference was found for length of main trunk (cm), number of nodule and Grain yield (gr) under different irrigation regimes. The highest were due to 100 % irrigation requirement that there were no significant differences as compared to 75% irrigation requirement. Lowest were due to 50% irrigation requirement. In Tape irrigation water distribution efficiency (Ed) and application efficiency (Ea) increased in compared with furrow irrigation. Comparing water consumption (m3/ha) between two systems was showed that consumed of furrow irrigation was 1.6 times in respect to tape irrigation. With applying deficit irrigation, water use efficiency was increased in both systems. The highest water use efficiency was obtained in tape irrigation and 50% water requirement (1.09 kg/m3) in compare with in furrow irrigation (0.46 kg/m3).
