Varition and relation of morphological and phonological traits and effects on yiled of rosa damasena mill in kerman.

The research was conducted at Research Center of Agriculture and Natural Resources of Kerman Province during 2004-2008. 47Rosa damascena accessions collected from different parts of iran eveluated based on phenologycal and morphological characteristics using three replicated randomized complete block design (RCB). Genotypes showed significant differences for different traits including flower number per plant, flower yield per plant, flower fresh weight, yield components, flower diameter, plant height, canopy, leaf area. Significant differences were obtained between accessions for all the characteristics and a positive correlation between al traits too. According to principal components analysis, flower yield, plant height, canopy and_. were identified as the key selection factors and the most important trials in components. Cluster analysis resulted in accessions classification towards 4 groups. In general, results showed a high variation for flower yield and components. Flower yield per plant and flower number per plant demonsterated a significant positive correlation.Therefore, they could be utilized as important evaluation criteria for selection of desired genotypes. The significant difference of flower yield could belong to flower number and single flower weight, canopy and plant height. Kerman 18 accession showed the most higest flower yield.
