Sheep and goat pox are caused by strains of capripoxvirus ,which are listed in group A of the OIE ,and is a highly contagious viral disease ,characterized by fever ,ocular and nasal discharges .Pox lesions appear on the skin and on the respiratory and gastrointestinal mucosae ,also causing high mortality in kids and significant economic losses . .It is widespread in the middle east as Iran ,So it was tried to design and develop a single vaccine against capripox disease to protect both sheep and goats throughout the capripox enzootic area . This vaccine was passaged on two different cell line and primary cell (LKP1,Vero BT) and was safe and stable to use but more tests on challenge on different races of sheep and goats provided a shakey immunity sometimes and also titration in two methods both in tube and in microplate was almost 1-1/5 log less than routine sheep and goat vaccine. This single vaccine induced immunity but not so much solid In order to produce 0240 kenya strain of sheep and Goat pox virus, in Vitro ,in epidemic time on Lamb kidney, tissue culture using lamb kidney primary cell culture as a standard Method experimentally, after 24 hours cells in formed mono _layer, 0240 the new strain of pox virus was inoculated. After some blind and enough continuous passage in cell culture we succeeded to increased its efficacy to produce a single vaccine. All quality and quality tests such as titration, safety, potency, challenge was done the results of safety and potency test in susptible sheep and goat after 3 WKS with a virulent virus show that in vaccinated there was no any typical reaction such as fever, dischasge, skin lesions and but ,on the contrary in unvaccinated groups (controls) total severe reaction was seen and titration of the last passage showed TCID50/ml=10 4/5-105
