The target of this investigation has been the utilization of short rotation period of eucalyptus wood (eucalyptus camaldulensis) in particleboard production. Particleboards were produced applying three age of trees ( 4 years old of Gorgan, 4 years old of Bushehr and 30 years old of Fars), two resin content consumption of 9 and 10%, and three press time of 3, 4 and 5 minutes. 54 laboratory particleboards produced and Mechanical and physical properties were measured and the data was analyzed. The results indicated that the age of trees had significantly effect on modulus of rupture (MOR) and modulus of elasticity of boards and boards made from particles wood of 30 years old trees showed the minimum of MOR and MOE. Also, the boards made at 5 minutes of press time had the highest of MOR and MOE. The results indicated that the internal bonding of boards decreased with decreasing of resin content consumption from 10 to 9%, significantly. However the all of the internal bonding of boards were over than the standard level. Also the results showed that thickness swelling of boards made from particles wood of 30 years trees were less than thickness swelling of boards made from particles wood of 4 years old trees significantly. Although, decreasing resin content consumption from 10 to 9% had a negative effect on thickness swelling of boards. Based on the results, with application of short rotation period of eucalyptus wood, standard particleboard can be produced.
