This study was conducted from 1382 to 1385 to evaluate the effect of planting date,sugar beet cultivar and frequency of fungicide application on leaf spot of sugar beet at safi abad agricultural research center Dezful _Iran .the experimental design was randomized complet blockswith split split plot arrangement of treatments.Main plots were planting date at October and December,sub plot were sugar beet cultivar (posoda and lin 191)sub sub plot were mancozeb frequency .two control treatments(infected and non infected ) were also included in the experiment in 1382 -1383.Effect of planting date,sugar , cultivar and fungicide on the level of disease were not significant.in 1383-84 ,only the effect of cultivar was significant.posoda cultivar was 5.1% less infected and and 16% more sugar beet root yield .effect of fungicide treatments were significant on the disease level.in 1384-85 effect of planting date, cultivar and fungicide were significant.application of fungicide at five times with 74.91 t/ha and non infected control with 54.03 t/ha had the highest and lowest level of sugar beet root yield . effect of planting date, and fungicide application on sucrose content was also significant.with delaing of planting date qualitative characteristics ofsugar beet has decreased and root impurities has increased. Results of the experiment indicated that with three or four times of fungicide application leaf spot disease of sugar beet will be controlled and qualitative and quanttitative yield of sugar beet is increased especially in the early planting date.
