Investigation of sowing methodes in saline tolerant sugarbeet

Germination, Emergination and estabileshment of many of crop plants are difficult for high salinity level in root zone in some area of production of sugarbeet in Iran. Some crop plants such as cotton and sugarbeet are not tolerance to salinity in gemination period to establishment growth period. But after establishment cotton and sugarbeet are tolerance to salinity. If sugarbet seed can far from salt in this periodes , it will could have high establishment and a good production. A study was conducted for evualtion two soil salinity level (4 & 12 dS/m), four sowing methodes (1- single row (SR) 2- double row (DR) 3- row in plot (RP) 4-plante in row (PR)) & two planting date ( 20 March & 13 June) in Rodasht-Esfahan. Another study was conducted for evulation four sowing methodes SR, DR, RP and PR in two planting date (4 April & 5 May) in Miandoab(West-Azarbayegan). Result showed that there were significant difference between two planting date , and the highest white sugar yield (wsy) belonged to PR method. Therefor result showed that in Rodasht with increasing of soil salinity root yield (ry), sugar yield (sy) and wsy decrease significant, but sugar content (sc) and impurities of root weren't significant. With the lating of planting only ry decrease significantly, but sc and impurities of root wasn't increase significant. Soon planting and DR method are recommended for saline soils.
