Evaluation of Lathyrus Sativus promising lines as on farm in dryland condition

This on farm dry land farming experiment was conducted by randomized complete block design with 4 replications and 4 better lathyrus lines with check ( 5 treatments) in two regions (faruj and Bojnourd) in spring of 2009. During the growth period and after harvesting characters like coverage percent, day to %50 flowering, days to maturity, plant height, 100 seed weight, seed yield, biological yield, drought injury, susceptibility or resistance to common pests and diseases of region were noted. Simple means comparison by LSD method showed that line number 5 with 1053 kg/ha seed yield and 2839 kg/ha biological yield in Bojnourd and 370 kg/ha seed yield and 1400 kg/ha biological yield in Faruj was better than other lines. Combined mean comparison showed seed yield and biological yield of number 5 line in two region was 712 and 2120 kg/ha respectively.
