In 2005 and 2006 years, an experiment was carried out as a split plot experimental design with three replications in Hashem-abad cotton research station on cotton cultivar N.200. Various quantities of nitrogen fertilizer were the main plots, which applied in four levels including a. 30% less than recommended level, B. base on recommended level, C. 30% more than recommended level, and D. 60% more than recommended level. Sub plots as the different amounts of phosphorus fertilizer was also applied at four levels were as follows: A. 50% less than recommended level, B. base on recommended level, C. 50% more than recommended level, and D. 100% more than recommended level. In analysis of variance in the first year of experiment, the effect of various levels of phosphorus was significant on boll weight. In the second year, interaction effect of nitrogen and phosphorus was significant on first picking yield. The combined analysis of variance showed no significant differences in yield and yield components. Data mean comparison in first year experiment, application of phosphorus as 50 percent less than recommended amount was produced the greater boll weight in comparison to other levels. In mean comparison of final yield of two years, the least yield was produced by interaction effect of nitrogen as 60 percent amount more and phosphorus as 50 percent amount less than recommended levels. The reduction of yield this treatment had significant deference in comparison to some other treatments.
