Making crosses among different genotypes of durum wheat possessed valuable genetic characteristics to compound desirable genes and create genetic diversity is a fundamental work and a usual manner in traditional wheat breeding. In order to achieve new lines of durum wheat possessed good agronomic traits like high early vigor, earliness, good plant type, resistance to shattering, biotic and abiotic stresses 86 crosses were made between 35 durum wheat genotypes at 2008-09 growing season in Gachsaran agricultural research station. Furthermore for evaluation of F1 populations the seeds of each F1 cross were planted neighboring its parents at the next year. During the growing period some characteristics like plant height, peduncle length, tiller number, flag leaf length and spike length were controlled in parents and progenies. At the result 45 populations of F1 generation were selected for further evaluation in the next year.
