The main purpose of this study to achieve high yielding genotypes with high quality seed for use in spaghetti production industries that can in a variety of environmental conditions are superior to existing cultivars, and also has desirable agronomic traits and quality characteristics, tolerance to environmental stresses such as drought and hot in end of the period of growth and disease resistance are common area. A total of 56 durum wheat genotypes in three advanced yield trials including ARDYT1, ARDYT2 and ARDYT3 (each trial with 20 genotypes) were evaluated in Gachsaran, Gonbad, Ilam and Moghan Agricultural Research Stations. Each of these trials in a randomized complete block design in three replicates was performed. During the growth period from various agronomic and morpho-physiologic traits of genotypes such as date and percentage of green, growth power, plant height, days to heading and maturity, reaction to important diseases and the like were note. After harvesting on seed yield of genotypes analysis of variance was performed and means by least significant deviation (LSD) method were compared with Dehdasht check varieties. Finally, the 19 genotypes that produced higher yield and desirable agronomic traits and morpho-physiologic eligible compared with check (Dehdasht) were selected for participating in the uniform nationwide trial (3 years).
