The most important goal in corn breeding is producing high yield potential varieties with optimum stability. Producing of corn hybrids by crossing between inbred lines is a general method in maize breeding. In most research institute using testcross method is a usual method to identifying better lines via Line×Tester experiment. Therefore this experiment will be conducted for 2 years in Maize and Forage Crop Research Department of Seed and Plant Improvement Institute at Karaj, Iran in 2008 and 2009 to decrease the number of lines and also cost of energy and money. There are 49 selected lines of sweet corn in S3 and S4 generations. Two testers (KS2/2-8 and KS13/2) were used as testers. In second year 98 produced hybrids, 2 tester lines and parents will be planted as a line×tester design in a randomized complete block design with 2 replications to determine their combining ability. The traits such as day to anthesis, day to silking, ASI, number of leaves, stem diameter, plant height, ear height, ear length, ear diameter, cob diameter, number of row per ear, number of kernel per row, 1000 kernel weight and kernel yield were measuered. Finally 9 lines that have better combining ability over all the traits were selected to continue the breeding programs.
