Determination of nutritive Value of cucumber , water melon , melon residues and pumpkin in Kurdistan province.

This study was conducted to determine chemical composition contain and nutrients digestibility of Cucumber, Watermelon, Melon residue and Pumpkin by product in Kurdistan province. By product of above crop collected, dried and grinded then sample taken for determining nutritive value of this by products.Samples taken from fifteen villages and each three village that were near each other were pooled to gather to make five samples for each material. The samples were sent to laboratory of Animal Science Research Institute to analyses of their chemical composition. Digestibility of CP, EF, CF, GE and NFE was determined using of in vivo method by four Kurdish sheep for each material .The results showed that the average DM, CP, CF and EE also Ca and P were 92/54, 12/54, 20/08 and 0/8 percentage.3/78, 0/28, ( mg/kg ) for Cucumber, and 91/58, 11/36, 17/8 and 1/02 percentage. 5/04, 0/17 ( mg/kg ) for Water melon and 92/46, 12/85, 16/84 and 2/52 percentage. 4/28, 0/15 ( mg/kg ) for Melon residue and 92/32, 11/7, 21/12 and 1/32 percentage.20/09, 0/03 ( mg/kg ) for Pumpkin Digestibility coefficient of DM, CP, OM and CF were 43/41, 54/94, 61/39 and 32/91 percentage respectively for Cucumber and 52/92, 53/1, 61/52 and 42/67 percentage for Water melon and 63/03, 70/74, 71/64 and 67/07 percentage for Melon residue and 51/93, 58/6, 65/14 and 64/82 percentage for Ppumpkin.
