إنجليزي. In research was investigated the possibilities to replace the conveyor chain pivots with sliding friction to the rolling friction pivots. The first chapter gives an analytical overview of the conveyor chain structure and requirements for the chain active part. Considered elastic solids local contact stresses and strains, steel contact deterioration damage, material deterioration damage to rolling friction and rolling friction with the slide. Gives review to the history of rolling friction of the studies. Described material wear damage to rolling friction and rolling friction with the slide, and contact stress in chain rolling friction pivots. The aim of the research: to investigate the rolling friction principle to the introduction of conveyor chains instead of sliding friction, thereby increasing chain availability. The second chapter summarizes the author's theoretical studies, which can be considered as a scientific innovation. In this chapter given the rolling friction pivot chain design. Developed the main geometric parameters setting methodology for rolling friction pivot, which includes the chain plate and the active surface of the radius of axis, axis cylindrical diameter, axis cross-section thickness, axis revolution angle, pivot axis trajectory calculations. Described the chain components rolling process studies in two cases - when axis active surface is flat and pitted. Studied axes revolution in the vertical plane - to ascertain the causes and consequences. Chapter closed with axes and plate strength test calculations. The third section is devoted to chain gearing with an asterisk studies. The study earned out in two cases - conveyor chain with pivots and sliding friction conveyor chain with rolling friction pivots. The study deals with the forces operating in the chain joints and the forces between the chain asterisk and pivot, and their effect on the chain swivel action. The third section is devoted to laboratorial experimental research in Latvian University of Agriculture, Faculty of Engineering. Experimental studies were realized on two stands compared conveyor chain with sliding friction pivots and rolling friction pivots. At the end of section gives economic efficiency calculation of the rolling friction chains use.

Promocijas darbā izstrādāti teorētiskie pamati jaunās izjaucamās plāksnīšu ķēdes šarnīru konstruēšanai, kas nodrošina rites berzi un līdz ar to mazāku nodilumu detaļu darbīgajām virsmām. Eksperimentāli apstiprināta ķēdes darbspēja. Jaunās ķēdes šarnīru nodilums (soļa izmaiņa) bija 3.4 - 4.4 reizes mazāks nekā līdzīgai ķēdei ar slīdes berzes šarnīriem. Zinātniskā darba mērķis: izstrādāt jaunas konstrukcijas konveijera ķēdi nomainot tajā slīdes berzes šarnīrus ar rites berzes šarnīriem un pierādīt šādas ķēdes darbspēju un ekonomisko ieguvumu.
