The article discusses the seed norms for mixed seeding of spring wheat and common vetch, and the different proportions of the components on the soils without nitrogenous fertilizers and with weak nitrogenous background. During the research the optimum seed norm and proportions for the components were found. It turned out that the mixed seeding of spring wheat and common vetch has advantages when compared with the single crop of wheat. The general productivity of the mixed seed can be up to 1100 kg ha (-1) higher than the yield from the single crop of wheat. In the mixed seeding of vetch and wheat the crude protein content in the wheat grain was remarkably higher than that of the single crop of wheat. The influence of the common vetch to the productivity of the mixed seed was equal to 100 kg ha (-1) of ammonium nitrate, but if we base our calculations on the protein yield, the influence turns out to be three times stronger than that of the above mentioned amount of the fertilizers.
