A survey on Al, B, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Hg, Mn, Ni, Pb and Zn has been done in a small catchment area on loess soil which is used agriculturally only. Samples were taken from deposition, seepage, runoff water, sediments and soil to a depth of 1 m. Results from water samples are similar to those found elsewhere. Apart from a slight contamination with Cd, Pb and Zn sediments can be regarded as uncontaminated. During storm water runoff the mass of dry solids is responsible for the transport of heavy metals.
