1989
Cabangbang R. | Manguiat P.H.
Ten promising cotton cultivars which have been tested under conditions of low rainfall and high solar radiation were evaluated for two seasons under high rainfall and low solar radiation environment. Parameters used in the study were: plant height, leaf area index, bolls per plant, earliness and seed cotton yield. The study showed that in general, yield was lower under conditions of high rainfall and low solar radiation. The tested cultivars exhibited higher plant stature but showed different responses with respect to LAI, bolls per plant and seed cotton yield. Significant positive correlation between earliness index and seedcotton yield was also found.
