Dynamics of fruit growth with 5 Nectarina cultivars, during seven-year period (1974-1980) was investigated. On the basis of the results obtained it could be concluded that there are 3 subperiods from setting to ripening of the fruits. The first subperiod is a part of phenophase when cells are intensively multiplied and fertilized, the second is characterized by setting of stones, when thinning of fruits should be completed and the third by rapid influx of juices into the fruits. The beginning of the third subperiod indicates the need for irrigation if required conditions are provided.
