At the growing and keeping periods, absisic acid of seed of xanthoceres sorbifolia was produced from the first period of bearing fruit and its content was highest: 408.27 micro g per 100g of dry weigth in January, and was lowest: 54.69 micro g per 100g of dry weight in July on the contrary. Germination ratio of the seeds of xantheceras sorbifolia could be enhanced to 83 percent by the sand treatment, supersonic waves and hot water treatment. Its quantity was about 23.7 micro g per 100g of dry weight at this period.
