Epidemiologia de la roya del cafe (Hemileia vastatrix Berk y Br.) bajo dos condiciones de fertilidad de los suelos en el Estado Falcon.

The coffee rust carried by Hemileia vastatrix Berk and Br. is considered the main disease that affects this type of crop. This kind of disease was reported for the first time in Brazil in 1970, spreading progressively through all the Andean Countries and San Luis mountains of Falcon State in 1988. The goal of this outlet is to study the epidemiologic develoment of the coffee rust taking into account different heights about 800 - 1000 - 1200 meters over the sea level in Falcon State under natural bearing conditions and fertilized soil. A number of sixteen differents plants for each bearing conditions and height level to which were attached four branches around one-third doing systematic tests during 14 days. The changing condition (relative humidity, temperature and precipitations) were accumulated every 14 days to quantify the disease as survival ratio for monocyclic process (SRMP). The results show that the incidence, severity and SRMP, depend on the fertility soil condition, the interaction of both elements; showing the great levels of the disease in the crops without fertilising about 100 - 800 - 1200 meters over the sea level.
