In performed cross breedings Charolaise bulls gave significantly better results than Limousin ones. Correlation of economically most interesting properties, namely daily weight gain and feed consumption percentage is positive and variability of the phenomenon is significant. Charolaise breed should be used in cross breeding for fattening improvement and Brown Swiss breed for milking improvement of the domestic (Yugoslav) breed. Of course, parallel cross breeding with other breeds should be carried on.
