The aim of this study was to observe the effect of the size and shape of plots on the performance of two machines used in conservation soil tillage - a combined machine Ostroj Saturn and a drilling machine with sweeps Horsch Concord used for loosening. A GPS receiver was used for collecting the data. The performance of the machines was influenced by the plots characteristics. A correlation between the average operational speed or travelled distance and the plots size, length and shape was established. Our results may help to prepare more accurate plans for machines exploitation.
