Testis isotransplantation to female mice was performed intraperitoneally. After 6 months the animals were sacrificed and the ovary, hypophysis and the remaining implanted testis were histologically investigated. Besides that, histological sections of normal testis, incubated with sera from the experimental females, were analysed by the immunofluorescent method using anti-immunoglobulin G labelled with FITC. We noticed in 40% of the cases that the number of atretic bodies was increased and cystae of different volumes were present in the ovary of experimental animals. In the hypohysis we observed tinctorial differences between gonadotropic cells of the experimental and control animals. In the implanted testis we noted the widened interstitium germinative epithelium. The positive immunofluorescent reaction of the interstitium of normal testis showed that the experimental females had an immunological and hormonal effect, via the adenophypophysis, on the interstitium of the implanted testis.
