Growth of rubber plant (Hevea brasiliensis L.) in three different sites of Raozan Rubber Estate, Chittagong, Bangladesh was studied during October, 1985. Rate of growth was found linear with age and different with topographic positions. The trees of foot-hill attained the highest length; it decreased with the ascending slopes. No such similarity in the mean bole height was observed. Physico-chemical properties of soil among the sites varied appreciably. These were moderately to well-drained, sandy to sandy-loam, acidic soils. pH values were found within the range 4.09 to 5.26. Moisture content in the early winter was negligible. Water holding capacity varied from 34 to 49%. The range of organic matter content was 1.1 to 2.6%. The relationship of growth of rubber plant with soil properties is presently being evaluated.
