In agroecological conditions near Obrenovac (Serbia, Yugoslavia) a following effects capability soil class on the yield of maize ZP (SC 599, SC 677, and SC 704) hybrids. The following next soil types: chernozem (meadow, loamy, loamy chernozem in the process of brownization and process of leaching), brown forest soil (loamy on loess and loamy-clayey in the process leaching) leached soil, pseudogley, marsh black soil (calcareous loamy, calcareous clayey and noncalcareous clayey), meadow black soil (loamy brown soil and clayey brown soil), alluvial deposit (calcareous loamy and clayey), mineral marsh and clayey bog soil and sand soil. All soil type are 1st-5th capability class. Maize yield was investigated in the 6-year period (1990-1995). The average maize yield was 4.20-8.16 t/ha.
