The dry-reagent analytical system VetTest 8008 was tested on horse, cattle and dog serum samples for its precision and correspondence with conventional methods. Substrate and electrolyte concentrations as well as enzyme activity were determined. Both serial and day-to-day testing showed a high precision of the system. Comparative analysis showed a good correlation with routine methods. Easy to handle, reliable, and accurate, the VetTest 8008 is well suited for use in the veterinary practice.
