Five brands of foliar fertilizers (Albatros, Complesal, Mandis, Restorer and Bayfolan) were evaluated to determine their effect on the yield and economics of lowland potato production. The traditional way of sidedressing granular nitrogen (21-0-0) at the rate of 100 kg N/ha equally splitted at 30 and 45 DAP served as the control. The study was conducted in Batac, Ilocos Norte [Philippines] (18 degrees 03'N, 4 meters ASL) from December to March. Results showed that there were no significant differences in plant height, number of mainstems and diameter of the largest stem among the treatments. Likewise, canopy cover at 30, 45, and 60 DAP were comparable. Maximum canopy cover was recorded at 60 DAP. Total and marketable yields were statistically insignificant among the treatments. Yields were higher than 25 tons/ha and about 93 percent of the tubers which were mostly medium sized were marketable. Specific gravity was relatively high (1.08) and sugar content ranged from 0.19% to 0.46%. Bayfolan and Mandis gave relatively higher net income and consequently higher return on investment (ROI) than the control.
