Silicon is one of the main four fertilizers, which play an important role in growth and metabolism and yield of rice. In rice, the silicon promotes the carbohydrate metabolism at the reproductive phase and increases the number of grains per head by raising the contents of solubility sugars. Under bad condition of sunlight, the silicon character was investigated. For a high and safe yield of rice, the rate of silicon fertilizer should be elevated.
