Protrade, the trade and export promotion programme of the Federal German Government, is one of the consultancy services provided by the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH to promote the private sector. Financed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation (BMZ), the aim of the programme in the agricultural sector is to advise and support small-scale and medium-scale farms in the cultivation of high-quality produce for international markets.
