The disodiumphosphate marked with 32P and then applied on the red clover leaves, is absorbed and translocated after 24 hours in a larger proportion (21.80 %) as compared to a smaller efficiency registered after 48 hours (34.85 %). In the potato plant (Desiree cultivar), the foliar absorbed 32-phosphorus was translocated and remained in tuber till maturation, being localized in a proportion of 99.70 % in the eatable part and in a proportion of 0.29 % in the rind. By treating the coleoptile of the maize with neutral red the vascular bundles and not the stomata were coloured. In the classic test (on apple leaf, which allows penetration through stomata), it was found that the small hairs situated on the inferior face of the leaf, were coloured; the stomata remained again uncoloured. In the inside of the leaf, the colouring was evidenced in the vascular bundles so that the way of penetration of the substances in leaf can be connected with the nervures and not with stomata.
