For the first time in Poland there was stated an occurrence of free-living generation of the nematode Strongyloides papillosus of two separated sexes. It was revealed under investigation conditions that the trophic conditions and temperatures under breeding of S. papillosus eggs could influence the developing of female larvae L1 into free-living females or invasive larvae L3 but had no influence on male occurrence. Investigation on strongylosis pathogenesis in sheep, infected by 100,000 and 50,000 invasive larvae doses showed negative effect of the parasite patent form on sheep growth and body mass.
