During 1993 an experiment has been performed with 48 lambs of improved Ovce Polje sheep divided into 4 groups. Duration of the experiment was 52 days (from 28 to 80 days of the lamb age). The energy source of diet at 1st group was corn, 2nd group - barley, 3rd group - dried sugar beet pulp, while at the 4th group was a combination of mentioned feedstuffs in nearly same level. The effect of applied feed treatments has been followed through: consumption, body live weight, body gain, conversion and slaughter quality of lambs. Differences among groups concerning consumption, body live weights, body gain, conversion and slaughter quality are not significant.
