Vier Maisanbauverfahren 1990 bis 1993: Krankheiten und Schaedlinge.
1995
Bigler F. | Waldburger M. | Frei G.
The impact of four different cropping systems on maize diseases and pests was investigated between 1990 and 1993. Common smut attack (Ustilago maydis) was reduced by 50 to 70 % in the rotovated band drilling systems compared to the traditional systems. The number of larvae of the European corn borer (Ostrinia nubilalis) assessed in autumn was 40 to 60 % lower in the rotovated band drilling system in meadow compared to the three other cropping systems. The experimental results for smut and corn borer larvae were confirmed under practical conditions. Aphid populations differed between the four systems and a clear relationship between green cover crops and aphid density was observed.
