The Food Processor diet analysis program has a 1,500 food database with values for 26 food components including dietary fiber and cholesterol. Items are entered by number codes provided in the program's manual, each with a choice of units of measure. Daily intake may be averaged over several days. Foods may be analyzed for one or all components. The printout displays: 1) total amounts of the food components in the diet, 2) percent carbohydrate, protein and fat, and 3) the percent of the Recommended Dietary Allowance (based on age, sex, height, weight and one of five activity levels) or U.S. Recommended Daily Allowances. The spreadsheet format printout shows food component values for each selected food item. Foods may be added to or deleted from the database and existing values may be changed. Recipe, menu and diet data may be stored. Manual includes separate listings of food sources of vitamins and minerals.
