The meat combinate of Kaposvar has adapted to Hungarian circumstances the Danish FOM /Fat-O-Meater/ slaughter value estimation procedure based on random sounding measuring. It controlled its exactness of slaughter pig quality determination. The relationship of the assessment parameters applied at the FOM procedure can well be described either on the basis of quantity or ratio of the carcass meat by a linear function. The slaughter value can be expressed therefore with multivariable linear regression analysis. It was proved that the weight of the carcass meat can be estimated with a greater exactness than its ratio. According to the results of the calculation carried out with moving averaging, the weighted and estimated balance of the carcass meat's weight is 8,2 kg, 0,33 kg per pig if the pigs are transported to slaughter house in groups of 25 animals per lorry. This indicates that the plus-minus errors of the estimation balance each other well. The deviation from the reality is 6 o/o. The quantity of the estimated and weighted carcass meat differed only by 3,3 kg.
