A laboratory experiment was conducted to investigate the ability of some synthetic mineral in phosphate sorption under controlled pH values. The three synthetic minerals were ferrihydrite, geothite and iron and the later is manganese oxide mineral. The experiment was arranged according to Factorial Randomized Block Design. The treatments consist of 5 levels of pH [4.5, 5.0, 6.0, 7.0 and 8.0] and three synthetic oxide minerals. The total number of treatments were 15 with two replication. The sorption of phosphate were measured by using Colorimetric method. Results of recent experiment showed that the sorption of the three minerals examined was in the order ferrihydrite stronger than geothite stronger than cryptomelane. Sorption of phosphate by ferrihydrite and cryptomelane were significantly correlated with pH, but not with geothite.
